Clinic Manager

Josie Davies

BSc

For many families, Josie is the first voice of Whole Kids Health. She shows up for that moment with warmth and genuine care, bringing patience to every call and helping families feel that the right support is within reach. Whether a family is nervous, overwhelmed, or simply not sure where to start, Josie meets them exactly where they are.

My favourite place in Toronto is the Island. Rain, snow, or sunshine — if I have a free day, I will be there.

You don't have to have it figured out.

How Josie helps

Josie keeps the clinic running with care and intention. She handles intake calls, guides families through the process of getting started, and works to match each child with the right clinician. Behind the scenes, she coordinates schedules, supports the clinical team and clinic leadership, and makes sure the day-to-day runs smoothly so that everyone, families and clinicians alike, can focus on what matters most.

Josie believes that reaching out for support takes courage. Her goal is simple: that by the end of every interaction, families feel clearer, less alone, and confident they are moving toward the right care for their child.

Josie is also part of what is next for Whole Kids Health, contributing to the development of the Oakville location and the clinic's growing learning hub.

When you reach out

You do not need to have everything figured out before you call. Josie will help you make sense of the next step, and make sure it feels manageable.

Background

From research to real life.

Josie studied Psychology at Cardiff University and went on to complete research placements at Yale University's Social Cognitive and Development Lab and the University of Toronto Mississauga's Child Language and Speech Studies lab. She later worked as a Lab Manager at the University of Toronto, collaborating with undergraduate and postgraduate students and bringing families into the research community through events designed to make science feel accessible and welcoming.

That thread of wanting to support families has followed her throughout her career. After years in research settings, she was ready to be closer to the moments that matter. She found that at Whole Kids Health — and every day she feels grateful to be part of a team doing this work.

Outside the office, Josie is learning Spanish, spending time with friends, and working her way through Toronto's neighbourhoods one at a time.

Every family who calls is taking a brave step. I want that step to feel worth it.
