Experience
Jessica is a warm, compassionate, and skilled clinician with extensive experience in psychological assessment and intervention. She works with children, adolescents, and their families to navigate a wide range of mental health, developmental, and learning-related challenges.
Jessica has supported children and youth with diverse presentations, including anxiety, learning disabilities, developmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, ASD), and social-emotional difficulties. She is also adept at working with individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, using her expertise to adapt assessments and interventions to be culturally sensitive and relevant.
In her practice, Jessica frequently employs a variety of assessment tools to inform intervention planning, collaborating closely with families to create personalized strategies that enhance emotional regulation, social skills, academic performance, and behavioural development.
Clinical Approach
Jessica adopts a client-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to therapy, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Her clinical work is deeply responsive to individual challenges and goals, ensuring that care is both personalized and effective.
Collaboration is at the heart of Jessica’s approach. She works closely with families and an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including medical experts, to provide holistic care. While she values the parent-child relationship as an important part of therapy, her primary focus is on creating a strong, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to engage in their own growth and development. Through this integrative, collaborative approach, Jessica aims to help clients build emotional regulation, enhance social functioning, and achieve academic success, all while fostering a sense of safety, confidence, and well-being.
Jessica draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care.
